Pallbearers will be her grandchildren. Donna was born on March 11, 1935 to Donald and Dorothy Plowman in Wisconsin Rapids. She was baptized at St. Paul's Ev. Lutheran Church Wisconsin Rapids on April 28, 1935 and was confirmed on May 1, 1949 also at St. Paul's. She married her high school sweetheart, Ron Markworth, on June 12, 1954. Donna worked at F.W. Woolworth and Co. during high school and at Rapids Beverage from1952-1955 as a bookkeeper. She then became a dedicated stay at home mom. Donna enjoyed many things in life with her family. Camping and traveling with friends and family, attending Packer games, Friday hair appointments with the girls at Penney's Salon, and shopping were always enjoyable times. Family gatherings were of the utmost importance to her. Being able to attend her children and grandchildren's sporting events, musical performances, dance recitals, and accomplishments always held a special place in her heart. Donna volunteered at Immanuel Lutheran School and with the special education department at Pitsch School. Her life centered around her family, especially daughter Heather, who was a wonderful blessing. Later she loved going for rides, attending city band concerts, listening to big band music, watching Lawrence Welk, and, above all else, spending time with her loving husband. She is survived by her husband: Ron Markworth; children: Rev. Gary (Paula) Markworth, Iron River Michigan, and their children: Shane, Matt (Kendra), and Chad (Charity) Markworth; daughter Cheryl (Duane) Spinler, Wisconsin Rapids and their children; Candace (Aaron) Slattery, Casey (Frank) Fischer and Caity; son: Greg (Kris) Markworth, Onalaska, and their children: Drew, Ben, and Erin Markworth; son-in-law George Krug, Vesper and his children: Jennifer (Jason) Melville, Renee (David) Wilson and Eric (Emily) Krug; brother Ron (Amy) Plowman, South Korea; brother Doug (Jane) Plowman, Woodruff; sister Marilyn (Mike) Foley, Wisconsin Rapids; great grandchildren: Brooke, Sarah, Hannah, Jacob, Cohen, Clayton, Makenna, Dylan, and Eliana; and nieces, nephews, and many friends. She was preceded in death by daughters Cynde Krug and Heather Markworth, parents Donald and Dorothy Plowman, in-laws Victor and Sophia Markworth, grandparents Allen and Bertha Mackaben, and Gustave and Mary Plowman. In lieu of flowers the family prefers memorial gifts to Moving Toward Tomorrow building fund of Immanuel Lutheran Church or the charity of your choice. The family would like to express a sincere thank you to the caring individuals at Wisconsin Rapids Care Center who were outstanding in their care of Donna, Dr. Thomas Voelker, the 6th floor staff at Ministry St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield, and all who visited and prayed for her.
