She married Harold Henke on August 17, 1960 in Neillsville. He preceded her in death on July 20, 1995. Lorraine was a talented seamstress, and many family and friends benefited from her talents. Her bridal creations made the wedding day special for countless area brides. She would sew any Halloween costume requested by her grandchildren. Other family and friends counted on Lorraine?s excellent alteration skills, knowing that she would make their clothing fit just fine. Lorraine also enjoyed quilting and her immediate family is fortunate to have grandma?s remembrance quilts. Many other family members also are enjoying Lorraine?s quilts, as she donated them for the annual family quilt raffle. Lorraine was an avid Brewer fan and also enjoyed attending baseball and softball games of family members. She liked Polka music and dancing and went to many dances at the Sherryland Ballroom and various picnics in the area. Traveling was another interest of Lorraine?s as family would make room for grandma on their various road trips. Lorraine is survived by four children: Dale (Donna) Vilbaum of Wisconsin Rapids, Nadine Bride of Littleton, Colorado, Kevin (Sue) Henke of Wisconsin Rapids, and Kent (Lisa) Henke of Rudolph; two step-children: Pam (Gary) Shaw of Wisconsin Rapids, and Roy Henke of Beloit; nineteen grandchildren: Michelle, Kevin, Brad, Amy, Wendy, Tami, Brande, Jenna, Ashley, Travis, Tyler, Shelli, Scott, Shawn, Eric, Brittany, Jim, Sherri, and Lon; thirty four great-grandchildren; her siblings: Evelyn Fine, Marvin (Janet) Kuehl, Shirley Jacobson, Orville Kuehl, Melvin (June) Kuehl, Lester (Karen) Kuehl, Carol (Roger) Hanson, and Patricia (Marvin) Nieman; and brother-in-laws: John Cain and Sylvester (Barb) Mancl. Memorials may be designated to Ministry House of the Dove in Marshfield. ?Lorraine?s family would like to thank her special neighbor, Lloyd Bohman for all of the special things he did for her. They would also like to thank the staffs of Wisconsin Rapids Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and Ministry House of the Dove and Dr. Douglas Reding for all of the compassionate care and concern for Lorraine.?
