Carol was born in Detroit, Michigan on May 1, 1932 to Rev. Ernest G. and Lydia L. (Bubeck) Kuechle. She married Pastor Robert A. Buckman on June 17, 1961 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Wisconsin Rapids. Carol enjoyed being the church organist, a homemaker, and lovingly taking care of her family. She was always involved in the church as an organist, and for 52 years endured, without complaint, being used as sermon illustrations for her husband. Carol also called and visited shut-ins regularly. She was a faithful member of Immanuel?s Mother?s Club, Evening Guild, and Ladies Aid. Carol was a huge Packer fan, and an unpaid member of their coaching staff. Her best times were when she followed Lincoln?s basketball team when son, Bob, played. More recently, she cherished her role of grandmother to her eight grandchildren. Survivors include her husband Rev. Robert Buckman of 52 blessed years, Wisconsin Rapids, WI; children: Linda Baranowski, Green Lake, WI and her children: Kristen and Jon; Thomas (Julie) Buckman, Janesville, WI. and their children: Carly and Carson; David Buckman, Wisconsin Rapids, WI; Robert J. (Kuechle) Davis; nieces, nephews, and many friends: Sondra (Michael) Kortebein, and Bernice Buckman and her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Pastor Ernest and Lydia Kuechle; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Raymond and Helen Buckman; and brother-in-law, Pastor James Buckman. Herman-Taylor Funeral Home and Cremation Center is assisting the family with arrangements. A memorial will be established in Carol?s name by her family at a later date. The family extends a special thank you to the quick response of the EMT?s of Wisconsin Rapids, the Riverview Emergency room staff, as well as the St. Joseph?s Critical Care Unit.
