Obituary of Mildred Komarowski

Mildred Komarowski, 93, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2013, at Wisconsin Rapids Nursing & Rehab Center. A memorial service will be held at First English Lutheran Church in Wisconsin Rapids. Visitation from 2:30 until time of service at 3:00 on Thursday, December 26, 2013. Mildred was born September 23, 1920 to Joseph and Mary Marko. She was the 9th of 10 children. She married Peter Vitello and they lived in Staten Island, NY. He preceded her in death. She then moved to New Jersey and later married Stanley Komarowski, who also preceded her in death. Mildred continued to live in New Jersey until the fall of 2012 when she moved to Wisconsin Rapids to be near her son. In her early days before her vision failed her, Mildred enjoyed making her own clothes. She was a wonderful seamstress. She loved and adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed the friends she made and the staff who helped her at Renaissance Assisted Living. Many thanks to them and to the people of Hospice for her comfort these past few weeks. Mildred is survived by two sons, Peter (Delores) Vitello of Florida and Paul Vitello of Wisconsin Rapids, WI. She is further survived by five grandchildren, including Nicholas (Sheena) Vitello, daughter, Jade Vitello of Wisconsin Rapids, WI; Dean (Mary) Vitello, and their children of Florida; Christopher (Melissa) Vitello, and their children of New Jersey. Mildred was preceded in death by her parents; husbands; one son, Joseph and one grandson.
