Obituary of Judy Kester
Judy Ann Kester, age 60, of Wisconsin Rapids, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 1, 2014 at Riverview Hospital in Wisconsin Rapids following a brief battle with cancer.
Services will be at 3:00 P.M. on Saturday, January 4, 2013 at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Wisconsin Rapids. Visitation will be from 1:00 P.M. until the time of services on Saturday at the funeral home.
Judy was born September 11, 1953 in Marshfield to Charles and Barbara (Schwartz) Missar. She graduated from Edgar High School. She married Rod Kester on September 22, 1990 in Wisconsin Rapids.
Judy was employed by Marshfield Furniture in Marshfield for 35 years and then worked for Urban Processing / Mariani Packing Company in Wisconsin Rapids until the time of her death.
Judy loved to ride motorcycle with her husband, Rod. She was an avid Packer and NASCAR fan. She had a very big heart and loved her family dearly. She always had a special treat for the children in the family when they came around. She loved the outdoors and enjoyed plants and flowers and feeding the birds. She had a special love of animals and her miniature dachshund, Jose`.
Judy is survived by her husband, Rod; her mother, Barbara Missar of Wisconsin Rapids; three children: Carmella (Doug) Moon of Marshfield, and Shawn Kester (Jeanine Perzinski) and Nicole Kester both of Wisconsin Rapids ; three grandchildren: Trevor, Camden and Elyce; two sisters: Diana Kowaleski of Bancroft and Sharon Hardrath of Medford; mother-in-law, Sylvia Kester of Wisconsin Rapids; two sister-in-laws: Pat Missar of Union City, California and Samantha (Dean) Applebee of Wisconsin Rapids; three brother-in-laws: Rick Kester and Ronald (Billie-Jo) Kester of Wisconsin Rapids, and Ryan (Denise) Kester of Mesa, Arizona; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her grandparents; her father, Charles; brother, Leon; father-in-law, Richard ?Bud? Kester; and three brother-in-laws: Ron Kowaleski, Lyle Hardrath, and Robby Kester.
