Obituary of Pearl Mildred Payne

Pearl (Lieber) Payne, age 68, of Wisconsin Rapids, went to her Lord's loving arms on Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at Wausau Aspirus Hospital. Services will be at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, July 25, 2016 at St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Wisconsin Rapids. Pastor Timothy Wenger will officiate. Burial will take place at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:30 A.M. until the time of services on Monday at the church. Online condolences may be expressed at www.taylorfuneralhome.net. Pearl was born September 26, 1947 in Marshfield to Otto and Lila (Salzwedel) Lieber. She was employed by the Biron Division of Consolidated Papers Inc. for over 30 years, until her retirement. Pearl enjoyed shooting pool, watching stock car races, listening to karoke, and spending time with her family and friends. At gatherings, everyone enjoyed Pearl's barbeque cocktail wieners and baked beans. She was loved for her heart of gold. She is survived by her daughter, Andrea (Eugene) Pelot of Rudolph; grandchildren: Kaja Brockman and Tiana (Cody Bush) Pelot, both of Fond du Lac; step-grandchildren, Cheyenne and Faith; brothers: Walter (Diane) Lieber of Belvidere, IL, Edward Lieber of Waupaca, and Dale (Sandy) Lieber of Mesa, AZ; sisters: Lois Schladweiler of Wisconsin Rapids, and Pamela (Virgel) Berndt of Port Edwards; many nieces, nephews, extended family, and one special young friend, Lucas Schwalbach. Pearl was preceded in death by her father, Otto, both sets of grandparents, and a nephew, Walter Lieber, Jr. The family wishes to extend their appreciation to the doctors and nurses at Wausau Aspirus MS ICU.
