Obituary of Eileen E. Miller

Eileen E. Miller, 90, Wisconsin Rapids, died Sunday, February 2, 2014 at Ministry Saint Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield. Services will be at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, February 5th at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Wisconsin Rapids. Rev. John Grohs will officiate. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services on Wednesday at the church. Eileen was born in Pasadena, CA on January 23, 1924 to Hays and Bertha (Kurz) Miller. She never married. Eileen had been deaf since the age of five. She resided in the Bethesda Lutheran Home in Watertown, WI from age nine until she was twenty four. It was at Bethesda where Eileen received her education and learned sign language. She enjoyed crocheting, working puzzles and she loved cats. Survivors include one cousin: Dorothy Gade and numerous second cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, and infant brother, Hays Jr. Herman-Taylor Funeral Home and Cremation Center is assisting the family with arrangements.
