Obituary of Scott F. Stanczyk
Scott F. Stanczyk, age 51, Wisconsin Rapids, died Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at his residence.
Services will be at 11:30 A.M. on Saturday, February 15th at the Evangelical Free Church, 611 Cook Avenue, Wisconsin Rapids. Rev. David Kurek will officiate. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services on Saturday at the church.
Scott was born in Wausau, WI on October 8, 1962 to Franklin and Mary (Pagel) Stanczyk. He graduated from Wausau East High School in 1981 and recently from Mid-State Technical College with honors in the Renewable Energy Program.
Scott worked for New Page Corporation, Whiting Division, in the wood room as an operator for 15 plus years.
He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to fish, swim and camp, particularly in the Rice Lake region. Scott had a great sense of humor and a mischievous personality. He took great joy in making people laugh.
Survivors include one son: Jacob Hetzel (Marissa O'Day), Wisconsin Rapids; one daughter: Kaylin Stanczyk, Nekoosa; mother: Mary Marquardt, Weston; one granddaughter: Miranda; two stepsons: Joshua Hetzel, Wisconsin Rapids; Justin (Karrie) Hetzel, Pittsville; one stepdaughter: Janelle Hetzel, Plover; three step-grandchildren: Alicia, Hailey, and Mason; one sister: Lynn (John) Lodholz, Sun Prairie; friends and former wives: Cheryl Applebee-Owen and Karla Stancyzk; and several aunts, uncles, and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Franklin Stanczyk, and son, Kenneth Stanczyk.
