Obituary of Charles Earl Andersen

Charles E. Andersen, age 68, passed away Sunday, February 23, 2014, at Wisconsin Veterans Home at King. Funeral services will be at 4:00 P.M. on Saturday, March 1, 2014 at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home and Cremation Center. Burial will be at a later date at Central Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in King. Visitation will be from 1:00 P.M. until the time of services on Saturday at the funeral home. Charles was born March 12, 1945 in Rudolph, WI to Antone and Eleanor (Wuestneck) Andersen. He served his country in the United States Army from 1963-1967, attaining the rank of Technical Sergeant. He married Mary Lovse in 1977. Their marriage was blessed with two children and later ended in divorce. Charles was employed as an over the road truck driver for Schanno Transportation, Sparhawk Trucking, and later Wayne Trucking before retiring due to disability. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed spending his free time hunting, fishing, boating, and riding motorcycle. Charles is survived by one son, Frank Andersen of Wisconsin Rapids; one son-in-law, Robert Brainard of Wisconsin Rapids; and four grandchildren: Ashley Taylor of Bancroft and Aaron Brainard, Gabrial Spaulding, and William Brainard all of Wisconsin Rapids. He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Eleanor Brainard.
