I knew Jack at the Congregational Church in Wisconsin Rapids for over 20 years and can not think of a nicer, kinder, more sincere, driven and loving person! We were in many committees for the church and his passion for the Choir was infectious! We went to his house and I remember many conversations at the boat house and he was always thoughtful and caring! He is going to be missed and remembered often with a smile and warm thoughts. My sympathy for your loss but he was a man who lived well and his spirit will never leave us who he touched!

Jack - Doc Lucas' sentiments are a very heartfelt and entirely accurate assessment of your personal and professional life. You were a great physician, wonderful human being and friends and medical service colleagues of Andy and many other excellent health care providers in this community including my father and mother. I will never forget bumping into you at Herschleb's Restaurant just after my dad Charlie had passed. You expressed your sincere sympathies but admitted that "Charlie was your worst patient ever" since he tended to "do his own thing instead of following [your] medical advice." I then told you that we have something in common: Charlie was my worst client who had the bad habit of rarely following my advice either. We both laughed to the point of tears over that one. You missed Doc (Charlie) as a great colleague, dear friend and hunting partner. We all miss you for the wonderful and caring human being you were. Rest in peace. Well done, faithful servant of our Lord Jesus Christ! God bless you, Jean and your family. Most sincerely and respectfully, Attorney Paul Gurtler & the entire Gurtler family.

he was my wife's and my doctor for years. My mother, Vivian Kroll used to work with him many years ago when she was a nurse.
He was a great doctor and helped us when he referred us to Dr. Egge. He was not afraid to have another doctor help out if he could not.
We felt he was not only our doctor but a good friend.
He brought our son into the world and also helped when our son was killed.
He will be missed by many people!

Jack,
You were one of the truly great physicians I have met in my lifetime. You combined an awesome depth and breadth of knowledge with sincere personal care about your patients. Physicians like you don't come along every day and we are all winners when they do.
Rest well, we will miss you.

Jack, I know that you can not read this. We feel so sad that we can not be in Wisconsin Rapids Saturday to help celibrate your life. Thank you for your friendship and all of the memories that you have shared with us in the years that we have know you and your family. You were always a light of hope in the community and in your profession. I personally will never forget the hunting trip that you, your son, John Sager and I took to Wyoming. We have enjoyed for many years your active participation in our Church and we thank you for that enjoyment. We hope your final journey to everlasting life will be peaceful and hold all of the enjoyment that we are led to believe it can be.
Godspeed to you,
Lee and Vickie Albrecht

Doc, I have been so Blessed, to have you in my life. Not only did you save my life a year and a half ago, but you have been, an angel on my shoulder ever since. I Thank You, and God for our time together on Sunday. As you said, 'Katie, I will be your Angel from Heaven, because you need it!.' You then chuckled, because you have that right, I do need you watching over me!
I brought you, your final donut on Sunday, as I brought you many donuts over the past few years. You and Jean are together now, which is what you wanted! I miss you, and will keep looking over my shoulder, knowing you are there!
God Bless You and Keep You Doc!
I Love You! Kathy 'Katie' Tate
