Obituary of David Charles Crotteau

David Charles Crotteau, 53, of Saratoga, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, July 16, 2014. A memorial visitation will be held from 4-8 P.M., on Tuesday, July 22, 2014 at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home and Cremation Center. David was born on October 20, 1960, in Wisconsin Rapids to Robert and Mary Lou (Busch) Crotteau. He married Arlene Tubbs on August 20, 1983, in Wisconsin Rapids. They were blessed with two children, Anthony and Elizabeth. He worked as a boiler operator helper at Domtar for 34 years. David was a fun loving, generous individual, who loved to goof around, but would do anything for anyone. He enjoyed going to garage sales, flea markets, and attending gun and tractor shows. He liked rides on his Harley Davidson motorcycle. He enjoyed trips to Myrtle Beach. Most of all, David loved spending time with his family. Special times were spent watching old military movies, snowmobiling, working outdoors, and having family campfires and cookouts. Precious times were spent with his son, Tony, fixing old radios in the garage. David also enjoyed special times with his daughter, Beth, relaxing and watching movies, especially cartoons. David is survived by his wife, Arlene; son, Tony; daughter, Elizabeth; brother, James (Peg) Crotteau; sisters: Susan Boehm, Marcie (Duane) Bier, and Catherine (Jere) Jackson; sister-in-laws: Carol Brown (Myril) Leona Dykstra, Shirley Hemmingson, and brother-in-law, Harvey (Linda) Tubbs; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents Robert G. and Mary Lou Crotteau; brother-in-laws, Ronald Dykstra, Alan Hemmingson, and Steve Boehm; niece, Joy Crotteau; nephews, Jamie Tubbs and Clark Tubbs; father-in-law, Merle Tubbs; and mother-in-law, Clara Tubbs.
