Obituary of Shannon Fota

Shannon Fota, age 51, of Wisconsin Rapids, passed away Sunday, October 12, 2014 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield. Services will be at 5:00 P.M. on Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids. Visitation will be from 2:00 P.M. until the time of services at the funeral home. Shannon was born May 19, 1963 to Martin and Betty (Costello) Kuehn in Elk Horn, Wisconsin. She was united in marriage to Edward Fota on January 10, 1986 in Wisconsin Rapids. Shannon was a homemaker. Shannon was always the rock of the family, the one that everyone turned to in time of need. She was a loving and devoted mother. Shannon's grandchildren were the light of her life and she loved spending time with them more than anything. She enjoyed the celebrating the holidays with her family. She liked listening to country music. Shannon is survived by her husband Edward; two sons: Korey (Ashlee) Kuehn and Adam Fota of Wisconsin Rapids; two grandchildren: Bailey, Keegan Kuehn; three sisters: Carole (Rick) Mabry, Re'Nae (Larry) Ostrander, Linda (Gary) Rohmeyer, Ginger (Dan) Blazel; one brother: Sean Ostrander as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family; godson Bradley. She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers: Gary, Harry and Ray Kuehn and her mother and father in-law.
