Obituary of David Linzmeier

David Alan "Moose" Linzmeier, age 62, of Wisconsin Rapids, passed away Thursday, November 6, 2014 at House of the Dove in Marshfield. Services will be 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Vesper. Rev. Doug Schalow will officiate. Burial will be at St. Paul's Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday, November 10th at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. and Tuesday from 10:00 A.M until the time of service at the church. David was born on February 5, 1952 to Louis and Elise (Rosandich) Linzmeier in Wisconsin Rapids. He attended grade school in Rudolph and graduated from Lincoln High School. David married Bonnie Berkholtz September 13, 1980 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Vesper. David was employed at New Page, formerly Consolidated Papers Inc. as a pulp receiving operator since 1974. He was a proud member of the Local Union 94. David was a unique person who had a wonderful sense of humor. He loved to entertain and talk with his family and friends. He enjoyed talking to new people and he accepted everyone equally. As a young man David enjoyed being a member of the Golden Glove Boxers and won many trophies. He liked to hunt, fish and travel. David liked to watch the History Channel and the Green Bay Packers. He loved to eat cereal, Captain Crunch was his favorite and he would often share with his dog Jersie. He enjoyed evening drives to chat with his brothers, and the occasional gambling trip with them. David was always goofing off making his family laugh either with jokes, stories or silly antics. David was a loving husband, a devoted father and a great friend. David is survived by his loving wife Bonnie; three daughters: Nichcole Linzmeier (John Potter Jr.) and Jaime Linzmeier (Michael Robinson) of Wisconsin Rapids and Briana Linzmeier of Stevens Point; son Andrew Linzmeier of Nekoosa; seven brothers: Ronald (Diane) Linzmeier of Wisconsin Rapids, Lawrence Linzmeier of Vesper, Gerald (Christine) Linzmeier of Rudolph, Duane (Charlene) Linzmeier of Wisconsin Rapids, James Linzmeier of Wisconsin Rapids, Daniel Linzmeier of Rudolph and Jeffery Linzmeier of Morris, IL; mother and father in-law Donald and Viola Berkholtz; three brothers in-law: Allan Berkholtz (Tami Sparks)of Wisconsin Rapids, Daniel (Kathy) Berkholtz of Vesper, Donald "Tiger" Berkholtz Jr. of Wisconsin Rapids; sister in-law Peggy Berkholtz (Damon Nowicki) as well as many nieces and nephews. He is preceded by his parents, brother Jerome and nephew Marty.
