Dear Buzz and Family, I hadn't realized Mary Ann had passed away until I saw it in the Escanaba Daily Press. I had been praying for her since I heard she was ill. Mary Ann truely was one of those people that left an impression on your heart when you met her. She radiated love and joy. Phil and I are so very sorry for your loss. We remember her well from her days as a hairdresser when she worked for us at Mr. Phil's in Escanaba.

I am very sorry to hear about Mary Ann, your Mother, Wife, Grandmother, Sister. I grew in the Virgil Location with her. I have so many beautiful memories of her and her family. A very loving and kind family. I truly am sorry. Although we haven't seen each over the years I will never forget the times we had growing up, her smile and love. So many wonderful ,fun memories of times with MaryAnn! Of course working with her at Chappell's, going to hair shows in Seattle where later I became the guinea pig for what she learned . Then we had ladies day skiing at Mt. Spokane & a few coffee drinks in the lodge. Country dance classes......we would meet at Dave's grill for liquid courage first! On the week-end we would go to Kelly's country bar to practice our "moves" . Ladies night out with the St.Mary's church group where anything happened!!! Then our movie dates when we would see the girlie movies like "Steel Magnolia's & Fried green tomatoes". She & I shared the same birthday but she was 4 years younger. We celebrated together & one birthday she fixed my hair , then we went to renew our drivers license's together! Best picture I ever had on my license!! Always so thoughtful and caring, and sometimes sneaky. She used to hide Christmas presents in the trunk of her car & the salon. I was so lucky to spend time in WI.with her & the family . She adored her family but especially her grandkids. She took us to her work place. Her coworker's loved her!! Who didn't? The best cook I ever knew. Her love language was service & cooking for others. Always making a fabulous meal for anyone who had surgery etc. I was a recipient of her generosity. Even in her illness she worried about the effect it had on others. Oh my sweet friend I will miss you forever! I love you always. Sue Ward

Maryann was such a beautiful lady..she lit up any room she in,her laughter was one you can never forget! I became a friend with Maryann in beauty school,she is in most of my happy memories from that point on,we were going to move to Colorado until she met the love her life Buzz,it was the start of the beautiful family she loves so much!!
