Obituary of Arthur George Neinfeldt

Arthur George Neinfeldt, age 87, of Wisconsin Rapids passed away on December 23, 2014 at his residence. Services will be at 11:30 A.M. on Monday, December 29 , 2014 at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids. Rev. Kevin Ader will officiate. Burial will be at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:30 A.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Arthur was born on November 4, 1927 to Ernest, Sr. and Minnie (Martinson) Neinfeldt in Wisconsin Rapids. He served his country in WWII with the United States Army from 1945 to 1947. After the war, Arthur was employed at Consolidated Papers Inc. Biron Division; he was employed there for 43 years and retired in 1990. Arthur married Delores Helke on May 8, 1948 and was later divorced. He was married to Laura Bertram Hankey on September 24, 1981; they were blessed with 33 years of marriage. Arthur lived in the house that his father built for him since 1948. In his younger years Arthur enjoyed dancing, football and baseball. Arthur loved deer hunting and fishing. He always had a big garden and liked to sit and watch the animals. He and Laura enjoyed taking trips to their cottage in Phillips. They spent time traveling together and went on several Alaskan adventures. Arthur was a handy man who could fix almost anything mechanical. In his later years, he would sit by the door and feed the squirrels peanuts and corn. Arthur is survived by his loving wife Laura, his son Gary (Carol) Neinfeldt of Wisconsin Rapids, WI, step-daughters: Barbara (Larry) Tio of Wisconsin Rapids, WI and Audrey Hopp of Sedona, AZ; grandchildren: Randy Neinfeldt of Glidden, WI, Terri Neinfeldt of Wisconsin Rapids, WI, Kelli (Mike) Osbourn of Wisconsin Rapids; step-grandchildren: Deanna(Andre) Hopp of Lee's Summit , MS, Derrick Hopp of Wisconsin Rapids, WI, Anita Tio of Wausau, WI and Derrel Tio of Wisconsin Rapids, WI; six great-grandchildren, five step great-grandchildren, one great great grandchild and one step great great grandchild, sister, Margaret (Robert) Buelow Grode of Wisconsin Rapids, WI and sister-in-law Diantha (Ray) Neinfeldt, as well as many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, infant son Randy Lee, brothers: Clarence, Ernest Jr., George, Raymond, Charles and Donald, sisters: Dorothy Koch, Lucille Moll and infant sister Bernice.
