Obituary of George L. Kocherer

George L. Kocherer, age 81, of Wisconsin Rapids, died Sunday, January 4, 2015, at his residence in Wisconsin Rapids. Funeral Mass will be 11:00 A.M. on Friday, January 9, 2015 at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church. Fr. Dan Oudenhoven will officiate. Burial will be at Forest Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service at the church. George was born September 17, 1933 in Neillsville, WI to Edward and Minnie (Jacobs) Kocherer. George enjoyed vehicles and watching old westerns. He was a very social and outgoing guy. George always had a sunny disposition. He liked attending CCLS programs and playing cards with friends. George worked on a farm for many years and was employed at ODC before his retirement. George is survived by his sister: Mae Hautamaki of LaCrosse; nieces: Marlene Kramer of Eau Claire, and Carlene Fibeger of La Crosse, as well as his special friends: Lisa Vann and family and Terra (Darrin) Schneider and family. Herman-Taylor Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Wisconsin Rapids is assisting the family.
