Obituary of Dorothy E. Coryell
Dorothy E. Coryell, age 86, of Wisconsin Rapids, passed away Thursday, January 8, 2015 at Riverview Hospital in Wisconsin Rapids.
Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at Bethany Lutheran Church in Sigel. Rev. Joyce Heintz will officiate. Entombment will be at Forest Hill Mausoleum. Visitation will be held from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Monday, January 12, 2015 at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home and from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services at the church on Tuesday.
Dorothy was born August 22, 1928 to Leo and Myrtle (Ferdig) Taylor in Frederick, WI. She was united in marriage to Cleve Johnson on December 2, 1946; he passed away on July 23, 1997. On November 6, 2004, she married Charles Coryell at Bethany Lutheran Church in Sigel. He passed away on December 14, 2013. Dorothy was employed at the Mead Inn, Quick Lunch, Woolco and sold Stanley Products for over 30 years.
Dorothy was a very hard worker. She was a great cook who made the best chicken dumpling soup ever. She enjoyed playing cards at the senior center, reading and word search puzzles. Dorothy was an excellent sewer and enjoyed quilting. She was a kind hearted person, who was the best wife, mother, and grandmother anyone could ask for; she was always there in your time of need. She was a former member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Wisconsin Rapids and later a member of Bethany Lutheran Church in Sigel.
Dorothy is survived by her two children: Marilyn Wunrow (Jim Goodness) of Wisconsin Rapids, WI, Cleve Jr. (Shirley) Johnson of Janesville, WI; three step children: Debby (John) Brown of Wisconsin Rapids, WI, Neal K. Coryell of Columbus, OH and Denise (Loren) Larson of Wisconsin Rapids, WI; five grandchildren: Terry, Dale, Gene, Tracy, Theresa; four step grandchildren: Steven, Jerry, Brenda and Jennifer; four great grandchildren: Brittany, Noah, Rachel and Colton; three step great grandchildren: Trenay, Mason and Owen; and two sisters, Mary Lou Randall of Elko, NV and Barbara (Bill) Kurtz of St. Croix Falls, WI.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husbands, sisters: Eileen Ailport, Esther Heller, Ruby Bauer and her grandson Scotty.
