Obituary of Dolores Jacklyn Steuck
Dolores Jackyln Steuck, age 84, of Indialantic, Florida, formerly of Wisconsin Rapids, passed away early Sunday morning, January 25, 2015 in Orlando, Florida.
Services will be at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, January 29, 2015 at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids, WI. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services at the funeral home. Committal will take place at a later date at Forest Hill Mausoleum in Wisconsin Rapids.
Dolores was born October 4, 1930 in Wisconsin Rapids, the daughter of Emory and Ella (Wendland) Welch. She married Lyle Steuck on February 3, 1951 in Wisconsin Rapids. Dolores and Lyle moved to Lake Camelot in the 1970's. Lyle preceded her in death on March 25, 1996 and Dolores moved to Indialantic, Florida.
Dolores was a librarian at Children's Library in Wisconsin Rapids from 1948-1951 and later was an assistant librarian at Nekoosa High School until her retirement.
Dolores was a former member of Woodland Lutheran Church in the Town of Rome and taught Sunday school both at Woodland and Immanuel Lutheran Church in Wisconsin Rapids. She was also a Boy Scout leader in the 1960's and 1970's. Dolores was an avid Green Bay Packer fan and a member of "Packers Partners". She loved to read, watch classic movies and do crossword puzzles.
Dolores is survived by five children: Dennis (Debra) Steuck, Carol (Gary) McAllister, Chris Steuck, Lee (Angela) Steuck, and David (Rebecca) Steuck; eight grandchildren: John Steuck, Dan (Katie) Steuck, Kyle Steuck, Ben Steuck, Kevin Steuck, Jeffrey Steuck, Zach Steuck, and Matthew Steuck; and several step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Lyle.
