Obituary of Helen Louise Olson

Helen Louise Olson, age 76, of Wisconsin Rapids, passed away February 4, 2015 at Wellington Place in Biron. Services will be at 12:00 P.M. on Saturday, February 7, 2015 at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids. Rev. Mary Lou Plummer will officiate. Burial will be at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Wisconsin Rapids. Visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M. until the time of services at the funeral home. Helen was born on June 19, 1938 to Grant and Vernie (Retzlaff) Olson in Vesper, WI. She was a long time seasonal employee of Del Monte Foods. Helen liked to spend time with her family. She was a very devoted aunt who loved spending quality time with her many nieces and nephews. Helen enjoyed reading, board games and history. Helen is survived by her siblings: Vernie (Jon) Warnke of Minneapolis, MN, Shirley Sonnenberg, Irvin (Elaine) Olson and Avis Schroer of Wisconsin Rapids, WI, sister-in-law Lynda Olson of Pittsville, WI, 15 nieces and nephews and 17 great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers: Grant and Keith Olson; sister, Betty "Betsie" Hansen and niece Sue (Sonnenberg) Zemke.
