Obituary of Marilyn Kay Hellmich
Marilyn Kay Hellmich, age 69, of Wisconsin Rapids passed away Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at Wisconsin Rapids Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Services will be at 12:00 P.M. on Monday, March 30, 2015 at St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Wisconsin Rapids. Rev. Paul Tonn and Rev. Timothy Wenger will officiate. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service on Monday at the church. Herman-Taylor Funeral Home of Wisconsin Rapids is assisting the family.
Marilyn was born on May 3, 1945 in Wisconsin Rapids to Percy and Gladys (Johnson) King. She graduated from Lincoln High School in 1963. Marilyn was united in marriage to David Hellmich on February 10, 1969 at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Wisconsin Rapids. Marilyn was a homemaker who enjoyed her role as wife and mother. She worked and volunteered at Mead School and West Junior High as well as a member of the PTA. Until sickness prevented her, Marilyn never missed an event for her children or grandchildren.
Marilyn loved crafting; she had her own crafting business Cradle Patch Crafts. She enjoyed sewing and attending craft shows. Marilyn also liked reading, camping and going for rides. She took pleasure in spoiling her grandchildren.
Marilyn is survived by her husband David; son Scott (Michelle) Hellmich and their children: Benjamin, Savanah, Sabina and Madeline of Wisconsin Rapids, WI and daughter Stacy (Chris) McClure and their children: Allyson and Ian of Reedsburg; brother Wayne (Lori) King of Cottage Grove, WI; sister Joan (Rick) Stensberg of Wisconsin Rapids; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Kenneth King.
