Obituary of Albert Henry Heiser

Albert Henry Heiser, a long-time resident of Vesper (Town of Sigel), a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away on Friday, April 3, 2015 at Edgewater Haven Nursing Home in Port Edwards, at the age of 88. Services will be at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Sigel. Pastor Doug Schalow will officiate. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Town of Grand Rapids. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home and from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services on Wednesday at the church. Albert was born in Wood County on July 27, 1926 to Martin and Martha (Mueller) Heiser. He attended Snyder Grade School and Lincoln High School. He married Jeannine Kroll on May 15, 1948 at St. John's Lutheran Church in the Town of Sigel. The couple was blessed with nearly 66 years of marriage. He was employed by Consolidated Papers for 42 years, until his retirement in 1989. Albert and his family continued to dairy farm on land owned by the Heiser Family for nearly 130 years. He also worked for the Jacob Searles and Duckart Cranberry Marshes after his retirement. He held office with the Seneca Sigel Insurance Company for over 50 years. Albert was a lifetime member of St. John's Lutheran Church, holding many offices over the years. He also sang in the choir and always helped out with anything that needed to be taken care of at church. Albert would always be there to hand out any surplus garden produce - he loved to share his apples and pears with everybody, whether you needed them or not. He often said "What the Sam Hill?" We always wondered where or who is "Sam Hill?" He enjoyed watching the Brewers in the summer. As a Packer fan, he was able to attend a game at Lambeau Field with his wife. Albert is survived by his son: Ralph (Rebecca) Heiser of Baraboo; grandson: Jacob (Megan) Heiser and their children: Lucas and Caleb; and grandson: Adam (Suzanne) Heiser and their child Ashton. His daughter: Kathleen (Russell) Anderson of Wisconsin Rapids; grandson Randy (Holly) Anderson; and their children: Zachary and Kaya; granddaughter: Jennifer Anderson and her children: Ariel and Malachi; granddaughter: Rhonda (John) Roelli; and their children: Marta, McKenna, and Adler; and grandson: Matthew (Jessica) Anderson and their son: Henry. His son: Jeffery Heiser of Vesper. His son: Paul (Pamela) Heiser of Green Bay; and grandchildren: Andrew, Karin, and Elana. His daughter: Kristin (Ryan) Rugroden of Holmen; and grandson: Andrew. He is further survived by his sister Rachel (Charles) Schroeder of Wisconsin Rapids. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Jeannine, and sisters: Emma (Donald) Henke, Laura (Milton) Scheunemann, and Esther Heiser. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be designated to St. John's Lutheran Church in Sigel and Lutheran Hour Ministries. The family extends a special thank you to the caring staff of Edgewater Haven Nursing Home and Riverview Hospital for their exceptional care and concern for Albert.
