Obituary of Marilyn J Meyer
Marilyn J. "Little Mama" Meyer, age 70, of Wisconsin Rapids, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, September 17, 2016, at her residence. As were her wishes, there will be no visitation or service. Online condolences may be expressed at www.taylorfuneralhome.net.
Marilyn was born on August 5, 1946 in Wisconsin Rapids to Gilbert and Dorothy (Solie) Lietzke. She attended Lincoln High School and was a member of the Class of 1964. Marilyn married Norman Meyer and they were blessed with a loving marriage, until his passing in 1990.
She worked most of her life as a waitress at many local restaurants, where her customers looked forward to her warm smile and friendly conversations. Marilyn enjoyed riding motorcycles, fishing, camping, and snowmobiling.
Marilyn had a passion for tending her flowerbeds, as well as knitting afghans for people. Most importantly, she loved her role as mother and grandmother. Her family was her life. She is loved and will be deeply missed.
Marilyn is survived by her son, Chad Meyer; daughter, Amy (Brad Spaulding) Meyer; granddaughter, Jordan Binder; brother, Doug (Connie) Lietzke, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
