Obituary of Janice A Bubolz

Janice Ann Bubolz, 69, of Wisconsin Rapids, passed away Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at Arborview Court in Wisconsin Rapids following a courageous battle with breast cancer. Services will held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday September 26, at St. John Lutheran Church in Kellner. Rev. Kevin Ader will officiate. Burial will be at a later date at St. John Lutheran Parish Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. Sunday, September 25 at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home and on Monday from 10:00 until the time of service at the church. Janice was born December 31, 1946 in Wisconsin Rapids to Leonard and Florence (Helgestad) Horn. She grew up in Pittsville and graduated from Pittsville High School in 1965. She married Jerry Bubolz in 1967 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Pittsville. Janice worked for the Town of Grand Rapids, Crescent Electric Supply, Roy's Tax and Accounting Firm, and Shopko and retired in 2001. She loved camping and fishing at Solberg Lake in Phillips, WI. She loved to dance and sing and watch the Packers and Badgers. She enjoyed making crafts especially knitting and crocheting. She also loved bowling and volleyball. Janice loved her grandchildren and loved to race them and play hide and seek when they were young. She belonged to the St. John Evening Guild for many years and served on the Board of Evangelism. Janice is survived by her husband: Jerry; daughter: Amy (Vern) Ruffi, Mindoro, WI; son: Jeff (Candace) Bubolz, Wis. Rapids, WI; three granddaughter's: Lexi Ruffi, Gabi Ruffi, Grace Ruffi; grandson: Connor Bubolz; five sisters: Joyce Herzberg, Pittsville, WI, Judy (Bill) Winch, Vesper, WI, Jackie (Russ) Henderson, Delavan, WI, Joanne (Steve) Hahn, Wis. Rapids, WI, Julie (Dan) Vaughan, Canyon, TX; brother: James (Olga) Horn, Vesper, WI; three sisters-in-law: Blanche Horn, Betty (Len) Linzmeier and Beverly (Jim) Krekowski and many nieces and nephews. Janice was preceded in death by her parents: Leonard and Florence; mother-in-law and father-in-law; Daniel and Winifred Bubolz; two brothers: Jerry Horn and John Horn; grandson: Cale Bubolz and brother-in-law: Don Herzberg. Memorials may be designated to: Aspirus UW Cancer Center Riverview or St. John Lutheran Memorial Fund. The family would like to thank everyone at Arborview Court for taking great care of Janice and a special thanks to Brooke and Amanda.
