Obituary of Leroy N. Crow
Leroy N. Crow Sr., age 74, of Wisconsin Rapids, passed away Monday, October 24, 2016 at Aspirus Riverview Hospital.
Visitation will be from 12:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, October 26, at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids and from 11:00 A.M. until the time of services at 12:00 P.M. on Thursday at the Chakh-hah-Chee Community Building in Nekoosa. Charles Smith Jr. will officiate. Burial will be at Dexterville Cemetery.
Leroy was born April 3, 1942 in Winnebago, NE to William and Angeline (Bigelk) Crow and was raised by his father Joe Whitewood. He married Elizabeth Crow on May 13, 1961 at First English Lutheran Church in Wisconsin Rapids; they were blessed with 54 years of marriage. Elizabeth passed away on January 11, 2016.
Leroy worked for many years as a cranberry harvester at Walker Cranberry Company.
Leroy loved to tend to his yard and liked to go fishing. He enjoyed taking rides with his wife, Elizabeth. Leroy also loved to play his guitar; especially Johnny Cash songs.
Leroy is survived by four children: Dawn (Richard) Lopez, Bernard Crow, Joe (Mari) Crow, Merlin Crow; grandchildren: Elizabeth (George) Plamann, Mary (Mike) Lopez, Lori (Jesse) Lopez, Richard Lopez III, Matthew Lopez, Shandelle, Joe Crow Jr., Mitchell Crow, Christine (Mitchell) Smith, Alex (Brenda) Crow, Curtis Crow, Maressa Sackatook, Evelyn Tepiew; great-grandchildren: Jesse Montoya, Breanna Dampier, Cruzito Montoya, Kira Dampier, Shauna, Sylence, Carla, Nihzhonie, Sunny, Eli, Violet, Carenza, Suriya, Juanito, Emily, Nevaeh, Sophia, Evan, Jasmin, and Alex. He was preceded in death by his parents, son Leroy "Sonny" Crow Jr., three brothers: Hank White, Charles White and Gary Crow, and sister Maxine Decorah.
