Obituary of Betty L Trickle
Betty L Trickle, age 85, passed away on Thursday November 12, 2015 at Arborwood Lodge where she had made her home for the past four years.
Services will be held at 12:00 P.M. on Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at First Baptist Church in Wisconsin Rapids. Rev. Chuck Bradbury will officiate. Burial will be held at Pioneer Cemetery .Visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service Tuesday at the church. Herman-Taylor Funeral Home is assisting the family.
Betty was born on June 20, 1930 in the town of Saratoga to Blossom (Konrad) and Elmer Glick. She had two younger sisters Barbara (Glick) Smoody and Bonita (Glick) Aron Raymer; they all preceded her in death. She married James E. Trickle, Jr. on June 26, 1946 in Wisconsin Rapids; Jim passed away on April 29, 1997.
Betty was an active member of the TOPS for many years and held offices in Chapter 0737. She was a member of the First Baptist Church since the age of 13 where she taught Sunday school and held different offices within the church over the years. Betty and Jim volunteered for the Children's Miracle Network from 1984-1995, working brat fries and various other fundraisers. Betty volunteered at the Lowell Senior Center from 1984-1996 where she always brought Jim and his parents for the noon meal and activities. Betty always loved making crafts, crocheting, baking breads and cookies and giving them as gifts. She also liked to go on the road, spend time with family and help with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Betty enjoyed participating in activates, socializing and the companionship of the caring staff at Arborwood.
Betty is survived by her daughter Sherry (Al) Cleveland; her devoted grandchildren: Michael John Knolinski and his son Jordan Haas of Wisconsin Rapids, Amy Lynn (Todd) Knolinski-Zygarlicke of Burlington, IA and her son Blaise Tubbs of Nekoosa they were the bright lights of her life. She is further survived by brothers-in-law: James Smoody of Berlin, WI and Robert Raymer of Omro, WI; nephews: Brian (Larry Sweet) Glick of Germantown, WI, Douglas (Lori) Aron and their sons: Drew, Austin and Lucas of Omro, WI and niece Dawn (Tim) Belfueil of Greenville, WI and their children: Alex Belfueil and Rachel (Frank) Scarpaci of Cape Coral, FL; Betty enjoyed the children so much and loved going to their family events, especially the annual Christmas party. She is also survived by her nieces Judy Schiferl, Gloria Brock, Kathy Carolfi, Loraine Ashbeck, Mary Cobb and nephew Ron Lubeck along with their families. Betty loved being included in their family get-togethers and holiday parties. As well as special friends Toni and Ray Hancock, who were always so good to her.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Jim, sister- in-law Dorothy Lubeck, parents-in-law Florence and James Trickle, Sr.

The family would like to sincerely thank the staff at Arborwood Lodge along with Hospice for the quality of care Betty received, especially the last few months when she needed more help. Also a debt of gratitude goes to her nieces Gloria Brock and Kathy Carolfi for their care, concern and love of Betty in her last few days.
