Obituary of Junette Marie Pruss

Junette Marie Pruss, age 92, of Wisconsin Rapids, passed away Thursday, December 24, 2015 at Edgewater Haven Nursing Home in Port Edwards. Memorial Services will be at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home. Rev. John Grohs will officiate. Burial will be at a later date at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:00 P.M. until the time of services on Tuesday at the funeral home. Junette was born June 25, 1923 in Rib Falls, Wisconsin to Henry and Hermine Harder. She married Wilbert Pruss on November 10, 1944 in Rib Falls. Junette loved polka music and enjoyed dancing at the Sherryland Ballroom every Sunday afternoon. She was privileged to have been able to travel throughout Europe with a polka band that her nephew was the drummer for. Junette's other interests included ceramics, flower gardening, canning, bowling and knitting quilts. She also enjoyed driving school bus for many years. Junette was a longtime member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. Junette is survived by her husband of 71 years, Wilbert; three children: Kerry (Nancy) Pruss, Ron Pruss and Patti (Mike) Pinney; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a sister, June Krueger. She was preceded in death by her parents, five sisters and four brothers. Memorials may be designated to Immanuel Lutheran School.
