Obituary of Larry Barron, Sr.

Larry L. Barron, Sr., 80, of Wisconsin Rapids, passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2018, at home.

He was born on March 23, 1938, in Marquette County, Wisconsin, to the late William and Amanda (Street) Barron. On Nov. 25, 1967, he was married to Elaine Anderson in Wisconsin Rapids.

Larry was a truck driver for GH Miller Trucking for many years before retiring. His interests included hunting and fishing.

He is survived by his wife, Elaine Barron of Wisconsin Rapids; sons, Larry Kenneth (Sue Newby) Barron and Lonnie (Marilee Piesik) Barron both of Wisconsin Rapids; brothers, Sonny (Pat) Barron and Darwin (Reba) Barron both of Endeavor, and Allen (Debra) Barron of Wisconsin Rapids; sisters, Mandylou (Chuck) Zeatlow of Packwaukee, Lillian Bagley of Beloit, and Trudy Anderson of Montello; half-sister, Charlotte Barron of Jefferson; also many grandchildren, nephews and nieces.

In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by his son, Larry LeRoy “Beep” Barron, Jr.; sister, Emmaline Cairns; and brother, Ronald Barron.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2018, at the Herman-Taylor Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids. The Rev. Douglas Schalow will officiate. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Tuesday morning from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service.
