Obituary of Barbara L. Pritchard

Barbara L. Pritchard, age 88, of Wisconsin Rapids, went home to the spirit world after passing peacefully on Tuesday August 7, 2018 at Edgewater Haven Nursing Home in Port Edwards.        

Services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 25, 2018 at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids, with visitation from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.  Barbara loved the color purple. Please consider wearing an item with that color in honor of her.

Burial will follow the service at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.

Barbara was born to Hillary and Bernice (Fish) Higgins on September 25, 1929 in Stevens Point, WI.  She graduated from what is now the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.  Barbara married Russell L. Pritchard June 22, 1962.  They had two children.  Barbara taught kindergarten and grade school in Neenah, Biron, and at Washington School in Wisconsin Rapids.

Barbara was skilled at handiwork and especially enjoyed doing needlepoint, painting ceramics and other arts and crafts. She was the sweetest soul you will every meet. Barb was always optimistic, never had a bad thing to say about anyone, and never took a drop of drink.

Barbara is survived by her children: Tod (Lisa) Pritchard of McFarland, WI and Kim Reniero of Verona, WI; and three grandchildren: Matthew Reniero, Marisa Reniero and Sean Pritchard.  She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Russell.
