Obituary of Kathlyn Goehring

Kathlyn Dee (Schenck) Goehring, age 62, passed away at her home in Moreno Valley, CA on Monday, July 23rd 2018, from cancer. Her husband and son were by her side.

The wake will be held at Hermann-Taylor Funeral Home, in Wisconsin Rapids on Friday, August 3rd from 4 to 8pm. The service will be held at Calvary Baptist Church in Wisconsin Rapids on Saturday, August 4th with friends gathering at 9 am, the service at 10 am. A meal will be provided by the church family. Burial service will take place at the Plainfield Cemetery.

Kathy was born in Wisconsin Rapids, WI on April 28, 1956 to Robert C and Ruth Schenck. She graduated from the Mid-State Technical College - Surgical Technologist Program and enjoyed a successful 25 year career in healthcare. She spent 16 years at Riverview Hospital in Wisconsin Rapids, WI and 9 years at Red Cedar Medical Center in Menomonie, WI. From 2014 to present, Kathy and her husband Bill have resided at Victory Ranch in Moreno Valley California. (Victory Ranch is a ministry of the Regular Baptist Conference.)

Kathy is survived by her two favorite men – her husband William Goehring Jr, and her son Joel Goehring, both of California. She is further survived by her brother Clint (Terri) Schenck of Wisconsin Rapids, and her sister Kelly (Joe) Meronk of Amherst, WI. She is predeceased by her mother and father, a still-born brother, Lyle Schenck, and one miscarriage of a precious child. They all welcomed her at heaven’s gate.
