Obituary of Evelyn K. Klevene

Evelyn K. Klevene, age 97, of Wisconsin Rapids, passed away Saturday, June 30, 2018 at Aspirus Riverview Hospital in Wisconsin Rapids.

Services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 5, 2018 at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids.  Paula Pearson Heil will officiate.  Burial will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service on Thursday at the funeral home.  Evelyn’s grandchildren: Jeff Klevene, Chad Smith, Lori Klevene, Jodie Gamble, Grant Gamble, and Jane Pearson will serve as pallbearers.

Evelyn was born March 29, 1921 in Arnott, Wisconsin, to Barney and Johanna (Singer) Kedrowski.  She married Frank Klevene on August 18, 1940 in Wisconsin Rapids.  He preceded her in death on July 13, 1999.

Evelyn was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.  She loved being a homemaker.  She enjoyed cooking and taking care of her family.  She especially loved having family together for the holidays and had a very close relationship with her step-great-grandchildren: Jodie, Ally, Beckett and Sabrina.

Evelyn is survived by three children: Frank (Loraine) Klevene and family, James (Sharlene) Klevene and family, and Marlene (Gene) Pearson and family; one sister, Patricia (Roger) Olson; and one brother, Bernard Kedrowski.  She was preceded in death by her husband, four brothers: Edwin, Henry, Ray and Gerald, two sisters: Virginia Fleischman and Genevieve Kedrowski, and two grandchildren.
