I did not know your dad but I know his son and believe he must have been a great person and Christian.

Uncle Dick always had a smile on his face and always made us laugh. We appreciated his visits as kids because he always bought pizza for us (the empty boxes left the house immediately because Mom (his sister) could not stand the smell). And always appreciated his lively conversations. We were so grateful that he was able to attend our Mothers funeral - it meant a lot. Our thoughts and prayers are with you'all, sorry we are unable to attend his funeral due to distance and work. Love, your cousin Darlene

If there was a stronger, more resilient person than Richard Lucht, Uncle Dick, I never met them. Clear-eyed, sharp and funny, he brought energy wherever he went and made the world a better place. His loss is so great because his presence was so great.

Uncle Dick was the patriarch of our family. My brother Dave and I went to visit Helmuth Lucht's grave yesterday in Union cemetery. Helmuth died at the age of 37 years old and was Uncle Dick's only brother.
Seeing the grave of Uncle Dick's brother and my father, made me hopeful they will be joined in heaven.
Uncle Dick was a wonderful, positive and lucky man.
Your strength lives on in us all!
With love, your niece. Diane (Lucht)Pearson

I am saddened by the passing of Uncle Dick.
However I am inspired by how he lived his life.
I respect Uncle Dick for his commitment to family, faith, and community.
Through adverse times he always remained positive.
Red Lucht would be proud of how he lived his life.
I am proud to have been part of his life.
He will be greatly missed.

It's been quite a while since I interacted with Richard and Linda but I always enjoyed both of their visits to McMillan Library. I admired both of them. I have good memories, thank you!

It was always a pleasure to see Dick at our ambassador meetings with the chamber. He always had a good attitude and a direction that was always positive. I am honored to have served beside him.
