Stan was born June 15, 1934, to Stanley and Marcella (Modrzejewski) Langowski, Sr. He grew up on the family farm where he learned his strong work ethic. Stan was a graduate of Cotter High School in Winona, MN and the Dunwoody Institute in Minneapolis.
Stan owned and operated a Pure Oil Service Station for a short time in Winona. Most of his career was spent working as a superintendent for Winona Plumbing Co. In 1987, Stan and Myrna moved to California where he worked as a supervisor on sewer and water projects, up and down the west coast. They spent a year in Seattle, WA, while Stan worked on a wastewater treatment project. While they were in Seattle, Stan and Myrna purchased land in Trempealeau County to build a hobby farm, where they raised Llamas. Upon returning to the Midwest, Stan finished his career working for several construction companies in Rochester and Minneapolis. Never one to truly retire, he continued to work as an inspector for an engineering firm in Rochester. In 2005, they moved to Wisconsin Rapids, where he was a familiar figure walking his dog, Rascals, around Lake Wazeecha, making many friends along the way.
He was an outdoorsman who loved fishing, hunting waterfowl, and trap shooting. Stan spent many summers boating on the Mississippi River. In his younger years, he loved to go camping. Stan was an avid reader. He truly enjoyed traveling, especially his many hunting and fishing excursions.
Stan is lovingly survived by his wife, Myrna (Ironside, Boyles) Langowski; children: Debra Schewe, Stan (Wendy) Langowski, Paul (Michelle) Langowski, Lynn (Philip) Kendrick; sisters: Patricia (Richard) Stahmann, Carol (Robert) Heineman, and Geraldine (Gordon) Hughes; sisters-in-law: Nancy Quick and Shelley (Rod) Jeffers; step-children: Kevin (Barbara) Boyles, Kent (Liz) Boyles, and Melinda (Jack) Barrington-Shanfeld; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren; and 2 step-granddaughters.
