Harriet was born May 29, 1926 in the town of Buena Vista, WI (Portage County) to Leslie and Ethel (Hill) Kramer. She was united in marriage to Irvin Brandt on December 12, 1949 and they were blessed with 35 years together, until his passing on May 3, 1985. Harriet was a life-long member of St. John Lutheran, where she was active in the Ladies Aid Guild and the Quilters Group. Harriet had many knick-knacks but was especially proud of her angel collection and her Christmas village, which became so extensive that she needed to add a room to her house. She was active in taking walks, line dancing, and creating unique items with ceramics. Harriet would go strawberry picking every year, and if you asked her, she would pick a flat for you too. She loved her Milwaukee Brewers and could be found watching every game on the television. Harriet took many bus trips to various parts of the United States. She was known in most restaurants on 8th Street, as she had a propensity to eat out a lot. Harriet enjoyed watching the birds and squirrels at her feeders. She is loved and will be deeply missed.
She is survived by her children: Bonnie (Chet) James, Elaine Patnaude, Carol (Marvin) Kummer, and Jerry Brandt; 15 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; siblings: Gordon Kramer, Beverly (Bud) Putz, and Marjorie Baitinger; she is further survived by many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Harriet is preceded in death by a great-grandson, Aaron Pasch; siblings: Norma Marsh, Nona Getzloff, Avis Brandt, Ralph Kramer, John Kramer, Audrey Waterman, Shirley McIntee, Mildred Drmolka, and Wayne Kramer; and daughter-in-law, Eileen Brandt.
