Obituary of Delores Borba

Delores V. Borba, age 77, of Wisconsin Rapids, passed away on Sunday, October 22, 2017 at House of the Dove in Marshfield.

Delores was born May 8, 1940 in Turlock, California to John and Helen (Harmon) Brasher.  She married Ernest “Skip” Borba in 1956 in California.

She worked as a waitress at Herschleb's Ice Cream in Wisconsin Rapids for many years.

Delores treasured time spent with her family.  She loved fishing, camping, feeding birds, flower gardening and cheering on her Green Bay Packers.

Delores is survived by her husband, Skip; two sons: Thomas (Lesley) Borba, Madison, WI, and Blaine (Joan) Borba, Wisconsin Rapids; two daughters: Sherry (Rod) Tucker and Kathy (Tony) Spranger, Wisconsin Rapids; ten grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; brother, Dan Brasher; and four sisters: Joan Kohler, Darlene Graham, Judy Kindle and Johnnie Drake.  She was preceded in death by her parents, sons: Brian Borba and John Borba, and sister Janet Brasher.

A memorial visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids.  Burial will be at a later date at Calvary Cemetery in Wisconsin Rapids.

In lieu of flowers, memorial may be designated to Ministry Home Care House of the Dove, 1000 W. 11th Street, Marshfield, WI 54449.
