Randy was born September 15, 1965 in Wisconsin Rapids to Elmer and Darlene (Randles) Dye, Sr. He attended grade school in Pittsville and high school in Adams-Friendship. He went on to earn his GED and attended Gateway Technical College in Racine, where he studied mechanics. Randy honorably served his country in the United States Army and Army National Guard.
He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Randy was a long-time member and supporter of the ABATE Organization of Wisconsin. His motorcycle was his pride and joy.
Dad was a wonderful man and father. He would take us on long motorcycle rides. Once he took his daughter, Halie, on a ride that went over 100 miles long, which was one of the best times of her life. When she and her family heard the sound of a motorcycle, they knew it was dad “papa” coming to visit.
Recently, he met his granddaughter, Willow Beth and the magic of the moment, watching how both his and her eyes lit up, will be a special moment that the family will never forget. He seemed to have found an inner peace and it shined through at that moment.
Randy is survived by his fiancé, Michelle Perry; his mother, Darlene Rosa; children: Randi Hegger, Halie (Josh) Smith, and Dustin Dye; grandchildren: Willow Beth, Crescendo Fanning, Isabella “Izzy” Willison, and Peyton Smith; siblings: Elmer Dye, Jr., Beverly Haefner, Marlene McMormick, Debra (Gary Freymuth) Hiles, Donna Breceda, Joey (Trish) Dye, Sandra Leonhard, Anna (Dennis) Manthey, Rebecca (Larry) Williams, and Robert (Lisa) Dye; he is further survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and life-long friends. Randy is preceded in death by his father, Elmer Dye Sr. as well as, siblings: Carlene Kadrlik and Michael Dye. He is loved and will be deeply missed.
