Obituary of Patricia Engelman

Patricia (Patti) Engelman, age 69, of Wisconsin Rapids died Saturday, August 12, 2017 at Strawberry Lane Medical Center.

 Funeral services will be at 11:00 am on Thursday, August 17 at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids. Pastor Jonathan Petzold will officiate. Burial will be at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday at the Funeral Home from 10:00 am until the time of the services.

Patti was born October 16, 1947 to Eldon and Louise (Urban) Engelman in Wisconsin Rapids. She attended Lincoln High School and then worked at Opportunity Development Centers for more than 40 years beginning in 1965, ODC’s initial year. Patti was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church.

She loved to travel, read, watch Badger and Packer football games and spend time with family. While at Strawberry Lane, Patti made many friends among the staff, residents and their families and enjoyed socializing with them. These friendships created an extended family for her that provided daily love and support during challenging times. We will always be grateful for their care and concern.
Patti is survived by her sister, Sandra (Wayne) Schild, Barrington IL; niece, Kristin (Seth) Campbell, Hanover NH, and nephew Colin (Anna) Schild, Minnetonka MN; aunt and uncle, Jeanne and Milden Schwanebeck, Pittsville; aunts, Kathleen Urban and Irene Engelman, Pittsville, Margie Urban and Mae Kester, Wisconsin Rapids and many cousins. Patti was preceded in death by her parents.

She will be deeply missed by her family, friends and the many others whose lives she touched.
