Obituary of Almyra J. Schweis
Almyra June Schweis, age 78, of Wisconsin Rapids, passed away unexpectedly at her residence on Wednesday, July 19, 2017.
Almyra was born July 2, 1939, in Wisconsin Rapids to Walter and Anita (Zager) Kruger. She married Joseph Schweis in Tomahawk, Wisconsin. He passed away on July 19, 1974.
Almyra was a homemaker and worked many seasonal jobs in Central Wisconsin. She loved playing bingo and watching birds. She also enjoyed doing sewing and plastic craft work. Almyra was most passionate about spending time with family and friends. She was an excellent cook and looked forward to cooking for holidays and baking cookies.
Almyra is survived by her daughter, Lori (Peter) Kempf of Nekoosa; grandchildren: Brad (Shelly) Kempf, Gina Kempf, Cory Kempf (fiancé Terri), and Brittney Kempf; brothers: Lewis (Pat) Kruger and Leland Kruger; sisters: Rita (Leonard) Kluck and Linda Kuhn; sister-in-law, Catherine Kruger; and many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Joseph, sisters, Mildred and Violet, brother, Leonard, nephew, Leonard Kruger, and special friend, Charles Hewitt.
