Obituary of Diana Rae Harris
Diana Rae (Winters) Harris, 69, received her angel wings on Sunday, July 6, 2014 at Pine Ridge Assisted Living in Wisconsin Rapids where she resided for the past two years.
Services will be at 3:00 P.M. on Friday, July 11th at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Wisconsin Rapids. Rev. Douglas Schalow will officiate. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 P.M. until the time of services on Friday at the funeral home.
Diana was born in Wisconsin Rapids on July 22, 1944 to Arthur and Frances (Hart) Winters. She married Howard Harris on August 17, 1963 in Wisconsin Rapids. He died on January 4, 1992.
Diana was a housewife and stay at home mom. She later worked at Kellner Klub, Gilman's Indian Hill Egg Ranch, and Herschleb's before eventually buying into Louie's Landing Resort and moving to Hayward. She lived in Hayward for eight years before returning to Wisconsin Rapids to be by her family.
Diana enjoyed listening to country music, watching game shows, collecting angels, reading, and playing solitaire.
Survivors include her children: George Harris, Winnebago; Jean Worzella (Scott Bowser), Wisconsin Rapids; Sherry (Dan) Holtzheimer, Marshfield; and Brenda (Ron) Nelson, Wisconsin Rapids; grandchildren : Holly(Casey) Coenen, Greenville, WI; Nick Worzella, Wisconsin Rapids; Amanda (Justin) Bohn, Wisconsin Rapids; Cassandra (Derek) Kandler, Wisconsin Rapids; Samantha (Ken) Brackmann, Medford; Alex Midthun (Amber Coe), Wisconsin Rapids; Bonnie Wells (Allen Fisher), Dorchester; Colton Harris and Delaney Harris, Junction City; Olivia Nelson, Wisconsin Rapids; great-grandchildren: Paige and Devon Bohn; Veronica, Corbin and Zoey Kandler; and Charlotte Fisher; siblings: Roger (Faye) Winters, Hayward; Judy (Clarence) McGill, Adams; Adele Hamm, Kirksville, MO; Bette Ratliff, Watertown; Linda (Dave) Barthoff, Burlington; and Ronda Aron (Kurt Higgins), Wisconsin Rapids. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Howard, and her brother Gerald Winters.
