Obituary of Lucille Ann O'Shasky

Lucille Ann (Kempen) O'Shasky, 90, of Rudolph died peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Tuesday, July 15, 2014. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday July 19, 2014 at St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church in Rudolph, the Rev. Rolando P. Onden officiating, assisted by Rev. Clay Elmhorst. Burial will be at All Souls Cemetery in Rudolph. Visitation will be held at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home on Friday, July 18, 2014 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., and on Saturday from 10 am. to 11 a.m. at the church. A rosary service will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home. Lucille was born Oct. 26, 1923 in the town of Carson, to Anton and Mamie (Joosten) Kempen. She married Edward S. O'Shasky at St. Philips Church, Rudolph, on June 9, 1945. She attended St. Philips Grade School, St. Joseph Academy in St. Point, and Hollywood Beauty School in Appleton. Lucille was a hairdresser for many years, owning and operating Barnitz Styling Salon from 1970 to her retirement at age 85. Lucille and Eddie operated the family farm in Rudolph. Lucille was actively involved in her church, belonging to various groups. She also enjoyed traveling. Her most memorable trips were to the Holy Land and to Rome, where she had an audience with Pope Paul VI. She also enjoyed painting, gardening, crafting and any type of game. Her true love was being with her family. She is survived by her children, Thomas (Diane) O'Shasky, Jacki (Jim) Molepske, Vicki (Ken) Tork, Eddie (Sue) O'Shasky, and Donnie (Rhonda) O'Shasky; grandchildren Charissa (Larry) Lager, Leigh (Jeff) Bouchard, Julie (Adam) Bever, Joe (Jenny) Molepske, Nikkey (Jim) Johnson, George (Tiffany) Tork, Ryan (Mishell) O'Shasky, Melissa Lato, Elizabeth (Kevin) O'Shasky, Jesse (Matt) Mann, James (Jessica) Walrath, Jacob (Felica) Walrath, Jade (Mary) O'Shasky, Joshua (Sarah) O'Shasky, Justin (Melissa) O'Shasky, Jordan (Katie) O'Shasky, Jameson O'Shasky, Jacob O'Shasky and Joseph O'Shasky; great-granchildren Holten, Jonathan, Tristan, Waylon, Josalina, Arianna, Scott, Kiera, Laif, Lily, Elijah, Isaiah, Jeremy, Jesse, Kenney, Kurtis, Tori, Roni, Joe, Casey, Ashlynn, Cole, Zak, Blake, Carol Ann, Logan, Hanna, Kaitlyn, Odin, Edward, Aubreaunna, Dylan, Alycia, Cassidy, Elliot, Hunter, Lyla and Jenna; and one great-great-grandchild, Jerome. Lucille is further survived by six sisters, Bernardine Jagodzinski, Clarabell (Jim) See, Janet Van Asten, Marjory Schenk, Irene Van Asten and Helen Zubella; one sister-in-law, Mary O'Shasky; and special nephew, Donald Marti. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Edward, granddaughters Jamee Lou and Jenna Marie, and one great-grandson Tanner.
