Obituary of Robert Schmidt

Robert "Uncle Bob" Schmidt, age 76, of Rudolph, died Thursday, August 7, 2014 at Ministry St. Joseph's in Marshfield. He was born April 7, 1938, in Wisconsin Rapids, WI, he was the son of Olaf and Blanche (Musch) Evanson. Bob served with the United States Air Force and was a member of Rudolph American Legion post # 485. He enjoyed working on cars, yard work, an all around handy man, that truly enjoyed company, friends, family and making others laugh. Bob drove truck for Ohio Auction Sales for 15 years. Survivors include: Brother: Tom (Mary) Evanson, Rudolph, Niece: Cherie Spohn, Nephews: Bill (Sheri) Evanson, and Brian Evanson, 7 great nieces and nephews and many friends also survive. He was preceded in death by his brother: Edward Schmidt, and sisters: Jean Holcomb and JoAnn Thomas. Visitation will be Monday August 11, 2014 from 4-7 pm, at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held 1:00 PM on Tuesday at Forest Hill Cemetery, Pastor Joyce Heintz will officiate with graveside military rites by Rudolph American Legion Post # 485.
