Obituary of Donald Leroy Hause
Donald Leroy Hause, age 85, of Wisconsin Rapids, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 08, 2014 at his residence.
Services will be held on 11:00 A.M. Monday, August 11, 2014 at Immanuel Lutheran Church. Rev. John Grohs and Rev. Timothy Ritter will officiate. Entombment will be in Forest Hill Mausoleum with military rites rendered by VFW Post 2534. Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M to 8:00 P.M. on Sunday at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home and from 10:00 A.M until the time of services on Monday at the church.
Don was born in Wisconsin Rapids, WI on July 29, 1929 to Floyd and Grace (Southern) Hause. He married Delores Thompson on September 3, 1955 in Hewitt, WI.
Don served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict from 1950 to 1954.
He worked at Consolidated Papers in the Wisconsin Rapids Division for forty years as a tow motor operator.
Don was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a charter member of the Jump River Gun Club and a member of the NRA. Don loved spending time with his family, especially with the grandkids. He was an avid card player, loved his many pets, and vacations up north.
Don is survived by his wife of 59 years, Delores; one daughter, Sandy (Duane) Hause-Skibba; five grandchildren: Jay (Tanya) Bredlau, Tory (fiancée Danielle) Bredlau, Noah Skibba, Tonya Hause, and Nicholas Hause; and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Kevin, sisters: Edith Ubinger and Inez Riegel, and brother, Harold Hause.
Don was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather and will be deeply missed.
