I remember a fishing trip to Algoma where me and another summer guy from Park and Rec got sick on the boat. We had a great time with Mike and David and they treated a couple of us Lake Michigan novices well. Of course the best laugh was rolling in to a local diner for breakfast after we vomited on the boat and the waitress asking us if we wanted anything to eat. Great memories and we caught some nice salmon.
David was a thoughtful, caring young man. Please accept our condolences and God Bless you all.

The Almighty God yearns to use his power to restore life to the dead. He can bring our loved ones back to life by means of a resurrection. In proof of that, he empowered Jesus to raise several dead people to life (John 11:11, 43, 44) God has promised that the dead who are in his memory will be resurrected to life in a righteous new world. Always a smile on your face, and only the happiest of memories when ever we have met. And always aware of those surrounding you. My favorite memory is when we were all at a fundraiser for Jeremiah's crossings and you out bid someone on a decorated cowboy hat ( and spent way more then the worth) in order to win it and give it to the little handicapped girl who really wanted it. Mike, Mel and Family,
Please accept our deepest sympathy. Wayne and I have felt like part of your family...camping with your family when the kids were young, Wayne working with Mike for many years in the Park Dept., myself with Dave at the Chamber of Commerce meetings and the annual Christmas cards where Mike and Mel always shared their pride of their son and all of his accomplishments. Mik & Mel, I write this with tears in my eyes. I want to express to you and your family my deepest sympathy. I have many fond memories of David. He was a great guy. He always had a smile on his face. Dave was one of the kindest, friendliest & most caring men I have ever met. He was always concerned about helping the less fortunate & supporting this community. Dave was the first one to compliment someone or sing the praises of another, while keeping his own light under a bushel basket. He will be sorely missed by so many!
