I met lauri in junior high and remember her as being such a sweet girl. We especially always were envious of that beautiful long blond hair! I am so very sorry for your loss and wish you comfort and continued prayers during this difficult time.

I have not seen Lauri in years, but when Lauri come to mind, always a pleasant and fond fun memory comes to mind, she was one of my best friends in grade school and i loved spending time at her house (with the horses, how cool !) . I now live about a mile from that house and still think of her often and how we laughed and had such fun ! Prayers for your family and such a tragic loss !

That's a great picture of the fearless, free spirit I played with as a kid. Running across the fields, overnighters when we ate pickles and made farting noises into a cassette recorder, shinnying up the horse's leg when there was no fence around. No wonder she was laughing when it was my turn - she was much slimmeer and more agile than I. But Lauri could find humor in most anything.
Besides many fun times, Lauri taught me to overcome fear. Her palomino Bill stumbled in the pasture,and I catapulted over his head. When I finally caught my breath and sat up in the grass, Lauri said, "You better get back on or you'll never ride again." So I got back on and rode up to the house. No way was I going to jeapordize riding with Lauri. Only after I got shocky and Mom drove me to the doctor did we find out I had the broken shoulder. And yes, we rode again as soon as I was able.
Thanks, Lauri, for the indomitable, fun-loving friend and cousin you were on this earth. I love you and I miss you, but I look forward to when we will laugh and ride again.
To your family, I send heartfelt sympathy and prayers. Losing a loved one is never easy.
I hope you find comfort in shared memories and the knowledge you will be united again.

She always was laughing or making a joke. That's one of the things I loved about her most. She loved everyone that she meet and her boys are very important to her. She let them shine in whatever they where passionate about. I will miss her very much. All the smart, beautiful, loving, and funny women in my life have left this earth too soon.
