Obituary of Dale Lee McGrath

Dale McGrath, age 70, of Wisconsin Rapids passed away on Sunday, September 28, 2014 at his residence. Services will be at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, October 3, 2014 at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home. Fr. John Steiner will officiate. Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. to 8: P.M. on Thursday, October 2, 2014 at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home and from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service Friday at the funeral home. Dale McGrath was born on February 7, 1944 to Alex and Lucille (Sparks) McGrath in Wisconsin Rapids, WI. He and Mary Zissler were united in marriage on August 20, 1966 in Milwaukee. He was married for 23 years to the love of his life Mary. Dale worked at Advance Die Casting Company in Milwaukee until his retirement. Dale truly loved his family and spending time visiting with them; he enjoyed making others laugh most of all. Dale had a big love for music, especially the gospel singing of Elvis Presley and Johnny Cash. He liked to watch sports and movies. Dale enjoyed shooting pool and belonged to various pool leagues over the years. He liked to travel. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Dale is survived by: four children: Diana (Forrest Shaffer ) McGrath of Springfield, IL; Marcy (Dave Minkey) McGrath of De Pere, WI; Lori McGrath of West Allis, WI; and Sean McGrath of Milwaukee, WI; Two granddaughters: Brittany McGrath, and Madeline Vasseau; two sisters: Marjorie Tilton of Auburn, WA and Kathy (Robert) Lee of Port Edwards, WI; brother in-law: Hank Oie of Seattle, WA; sister in-law: Judy McGrath of Wisconsin Rapids, as well as many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his: parents; two sisters: Gloria Oie and Judy McGrath: five brothers: Robert, James, Jerry, Tom and John McGrath.
