Obituary of Mary Jo Barber

Mary Jo Barber, age 75, of Wisconsin Rapids, passed away Thursday morning, October 23, 2014 at her residence. A memorial visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids. Mary Jo was born May 28, 1939 in Grenora, North Dakota to Jules and Evelyn (Hagen) Feldmann. She and Richard Montgomery were united in marriage in Minot, North Dakota in 1963. She later married Marv Barber in Stevens Point, WI in 1979. Mary Jo had earned a Masters Degree and had been an English teacher in the Stevens Point School District for many years. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, spoiling her grandchildren, reading, socializing with her friends and traveling. Mary Jo is survived by two sons: Sean (Buffy) Montgomery of Papillion, NE and Mike Montgomery of Nekoosa, WI; grandchildren: Amanda Jo (Ryan) Sangals, Brayden Montgomery, Gavin Montgomery, Cade Montgomery and Logan Montgomery; great-grandchildren: Jackson and Annie Jo Sangals; brother: Jules (Joan) Feldmann and sister: Judy Feldmann.
