Obituary of George Francis Warner

George Francis Warner, age 82, of Wisconsin Rapids, passed away on October 29, 2014, at Saint Josephs Hospital in Marshfield. Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, November 5, 2014 at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin. Deacon Jerry Ruesch will officiate. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 9:00 A.M. until the time of service. George was born on November 30, 1931 in Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin to Harold and Mary (Marco) Warner. George worked as a relief supervisor for Consolidated Papers Inc until his retirement in 1994; he worked there for 39 years. George served his country as a member of the United States Air Force from 1951-1955 as a staff sergeant. George was an avid Packer Fan he also enjoyed watching NASCAR races. George was an excellent wood worker who excelled at making bird houses and cabinets. Bird watching was a hobby that George enjoyed. He liked to travel and go camping with his family. George is survived by his wife Doris; three daughters: Mary Jo Warner (Ron Hall) of Nekoosa, Sandra Warner of Nekoosa, and Dawn (David) Pearson of Nekoosa; son David Warner (Marc Wittlif) of Washington D.C; three grandchildren: Ashley Blossfield, David and Michael Barfknecht; three sisters: Lois McLean, Nancy Bosshart, Mary Jean Osterkil; three brothers: James (Martha) Warner, Harold "Fuzz" (Sherry) Warner and Robert (Audrey) Warner as well as many nieces and nephews.
