Arlene...I was thinking of you two the other day and decided to look up John on the internet and came upon this obituary. I am so sorry for you loss and sad to learn that he passed away. I have fond memories of John as he was such a loyal supporter of the Wisconsin Rapids Twins when I played there in 1966 and 1967. He was behind us win or lose and a true baseball fan. I was so pleased that you two took the time to stop by the service station in Cleveland, Texas on you vacation one summer. I will always remember that. I hope that you receive this note and know that I am thinking of you and your family. When I saw his photo, I knew right away that it was John.
Warmest regards,
Steve Free
