Obituary of Irene Delores Nieman

Irene Delores Nieman, age 90, formerly of Rudolph, passed away Thursday, November 13, 2014 at Hilltop Assisted Living in Wisconsin Rapids. Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids. James Sampson will officiate. Burial will be at Linwood Union Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9:00 A.M. until the time of services on Tuesday at the funeral home. Irene was born November 6, 1924 to Anton and Katherine (Orlikowski) Cisewski in Knowlton, Wisconsin. She married Willis Nieman on November 14, 1946 in Stevens Point, Wisconsin. He passed away on April 10, 1991. Irene was a longtime housekeeper for Bill and Bea Mengel and later Irene was employed at Ore'Ida Foods. Irene was a very loving person who enjoyed spending time with her family. She liked to bake and cook for family when they came to visit. Irene enjoyed gardening and canning the things that she grew. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Marshfield. Irene is survived by four sons: Ronald (Sue) Nieman of Huntington, IN, Larry (Becky) Nieman of Rudolph, WI, Randy (Linda) Nieman Rudolph, WI and Thomas (Sandy) Nieman of Wisconsin Rapids, WI; seven grandchildren; two step grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren and four step great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Willis; eight sisters: Emily, Bertha, Magdeline, Martha, Sylvia, Nettie, Grace and Florence and five brothers: Harry, Emil, Edward, Fred and Raymond.
