Obituary of Richard Edward Krause
Richard Edward Krause, age 73, of the Town of Rome, passed away on Thursday, December 4, 2014 surrounded by his family at Wisconsin Rapids Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Services will be held at 11:30 A.M. on Saturday December 13, 2014 at Alleluia Lutheran Church, 4055 S. Book Road, Naperville, IL 60564. A reception will follow.
Richard was born on May 8, 1941 to Edward and Valerie (Zokas) Krause in Chicago, IL. He was a member of the United States Army Military Police from 1962-1964 and remained active in the Army reserves for a few years after. Richard was retired and previously employed at Brach's Candy Company as a computer program analyst.
On April 30, 1994 he was united in marriage to Nancy Schneider in Darien, IL. After his retirement Richard and Nancy moved to the Town of Rome to enjoy the peacefulness of the country. Richard enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, and dog training. He was a wonderful and caring husband, father and grandfather.
Richard is survived by his wife Nancy, three daughters: Carolyn (Greg) Hays of Bolingbrook, IL; Cindy (Eric) Mikutis of Joliet, IL, and Cheri (David) Carroll of Plainfield, IL; five grandchildren: Jessica, Colin, Nicholas, Alexis and Alicia; his mother Valerie Krause, and step-daughter Randi McHugh.
He is preceded in death by his father Edward Krause.
