Lee had just contacted me a few weeks ago or more and left a message for me to call her back. Unfortunately I was too late to reach her. When I moved into Pirco Senior Park and became Lee s neighbor, little did I know what a blessing it would be. I should have guessed it by others living there and the wonderful comments. After meeting Lee ther was no question in my mind that she would be one of the most unforgettable people I would meet. My heart is saddened that I could not get in the final visit I had planned to see her again. Gracie, I know how much you great grandmother has enriched your life. You have some wonderful memories for a lifetime. Molly and I enjoyed your visits when you came to stay by her. How can I be sad over such a wonderful life well lived, but I truly grieve the loss for all of us as she will be missed in life but carried in our hearts.

Dear family members of Lee,
I am so sorry for the loss of your mother, my friend, the "Lee guy". She was the most thoughtful, loving, compassionate, fun loving, happy, witty person that I have ever known. She was the same to everyone she knew.
I went through a difficult battle with cancer in the 80's. I was sick for a year with chemo. I could not bowl at that time but she sent me a card (sometimes two) every week for the entire year.
Every day I would ask my kids to get the mail when they got home from school. One day, toward the end of that year I asked them if we got any mail. They said "No, just a letter from that "Lee guy". My husband wanted to know who the "Lee guy" was. Eventually I told Lee about it and she got a really big laugh out of it.She signed her Christmas letters "the Lee guy".
I wish I would have known she was at the care center. I miss her already and will miss her Christmas letters.

Dear family members of Lee Winn: I would like To send my condolences to you and express what a lovely lady I felt Lee was. I met Lee while working at the post office in Mesa , AZ. She was so generous and brought me some delicious Wisconsin cheese. We started writing to each other and from there our friendship blossomed. Every time she came to Arizona we would see each other. She was such a sharp and interesting lady, with many stories to tell from her life experiences. From talking to her, I could see that she loved and treasured her family very much. I feel lucky to have met and known her and I hold the lovely memories of the fun times we shared. Lee, a fun energetic, friendly, kind lady. It's a pleasure to have known you and I will miss you! Sincerely, Cynthia Wong
